Are you familiar with NEWater, Singapore’s own brand of recycled water? Launched in 2003 the program effectively collects and cleans wastewater, bringing it to international drinking water standards. Today recycled water accounts for 30 % of Singapore’s daily water needs, perhaps due to the comprehensive public communications and education program, building public confidence and acceptance in NEWater.
