26.01.2016The innovative approach uses light energy to pull safe water from deep below the earth’s surface. The water then flows into 3 large storage tanks which ensure water provision throughout the day – even when the sun isn’t shining. Gravity then allow water to flow freely from taps located close by. It’s a simple system, but is having a real impact.
“Because we have more water now, and spend no time at all collecting it, I can invest more time in our (cassava fermentation) business. The money is really helping the family,” explains Suzanne Chidiebe, a farmer, and a mother of 8.
