Making Waves

The Great Lakes regions of North America and Sub-Saharan Africa both contain more than 20% of the world's freshwater. But where access to safe water is common in the former, it remains painfully low in the latter.

"Making Waves" is a story about how one woman turned her passion into action to bring safe water to children in rural Uganda who walk 4 miles a day to collect water. It demonstrates that, while the work to guarantee the human right to water is daunting, one person can make a difference.
