Water Flashmob

With the World Water Day coming up, Indian NGOs and clubs now take a new route to inculcate a sense of responsibility in people by stepping up campaign for water conservation.

To grab the attention of the passers-by and promote the culture of setting up rainwater harvesting pits in residential apartments, India Youth for Society organised a flash mob on Beach Road. This was followed by an awareness programme at the venue. Dancing to a mix of Telugu and Hindi movie songs, a team of 15 dancers from Strings Dance Institute treated the viewers to a row of peppy numbers. Giving a break to the half-an-hour-long entertainment, the importance of saving water was explained and solutions to consume water economically was presented.
